I love Smitten Kitchen's recipes. They're incredible, and uniformly delicious. Deb Perelman puts her heart and soul into her food, and her food is damn good. Many of her recipes are uncomplicated, and those that are complicated are thoroughly and carefully explained.


What I don't love is the 10-paragraph intro.


This isn't actually Deb's fault. This is the fault of SEO, where the more content you have on a webpage, presumably, the more likely that webpage is to rank in Google's search results for relevant keywords.


Recipe blogs are therefore notorious for preceding each recipe with lengthy, "optimized", and often irrelevant anecdotes.
